Fifty Shades of Grey - E L James

WARNING!
This book is intended for mature audiences.
"When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.

Shocked yet thrilled by Grey’s singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success—his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family—Grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey’s secrets and explores her own dark desires."
Fifty Shades of Grey

This book got real popular. I heard wonderful things about it and i also heard it was horribly written and smut. so of course i didn't wanna buy it. i however did request it at the library. and a month and half later it was my turn to read.
Lets me start off by saying, yes there is sex. after all it is an 'erotic romance' so if you can't handle that, go on your way.
in my opinion its tasteful. (and to my relief no anal)
but its not just all about sex which i was led to believe. there is a story line, and it gets deep and grabs your attention.
says its a 'twilight adult fantasy'. and ill have to kind of agree but not enough to ruin the story. just a little eye roll here and there. (hope Mr. Grey didn't see that! hehe)
bottom line if your okay with sex in your book you should read this. i laughed, i gasped, i squirmed and i even shed a tear.
i WILL be buying the second book cause there is no way ill wait the long time it takes for it to be my turn at the library to read it.

dont picture edward cullen as mr grey. you want to picture Ian Somerhalder. trust me! yum! plus i hear they MIGHT cast him in the movie as Mr. Grey.

Forbidden - Tabitha Suzuma

"She is pretty and talented - sweet sixteen and never been kissed. He is seventeen; gorgeous and on the brink of a bright future. And now they have fallen in love. But... they are brother and sister.

Seventeen-year-old Lochan and sixteen-year-old Maya have always felt more like friends than siblings. Together they have stepped in for their alcoholic, wayward mother to take care of their three younger siblings. As defacto parents to the little ones, Lochan and Maya have had to grow up fast. And the stress of their lives—and the way they understand each other so completely—has also also brought them closer than two siblings would ordinarily be. So close, in fact, that they have fallen in love. Their clandestine romance quickly blooms into deep, desperate love. They know their relationship is wrong and cannot possibly continue. And yet, they cannot stop what feels so incredibly right. As the novel careens toward an explosive and shocking finale, only one thing is certain: a love this devastating has no happy ending."

 Holy Cow!
I've had this on my 'to-read' list for a long while now but kept putting it off because of the subject matter. The reviews were always good and i finally caved into reading it because they actually had a copy available at my library.
YES its about a brother and sister who fall in love which kind of makes you want to burn the book for its taboo subject matter and even the idea of someone being able to write about such a thing!
its worth the read though, i think. May have been easier for me to read because i don't have any brothers.
ITS NOT WHAT YOU THINK! okay maybe it is, but its written in a way that at times you catch yourself hoping for them, but at other time you're like 'AH! come on! you're siblings!' go ahead and read it in secret. you don't have to tell anyone.

this doesn't give anything away, but by the end, i was a blubbering idiot.
